Spring Fling, May 18, 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm
The last all-school event of the year, the Spring Fling is an outdoor evening concert for families to enjoy. Mrs. Becktrom leads students singing songs and playing instruments. Parents and families picnic on the field and enjoy the performance.
There's a special send-off to the graduating third graders.

Summer Camp Information for District Families
Check our Summer Camp Website for information submitted by area summer camps - new camps are being added every week. This year we are also posting residential camps for the older kids. The District Council provides this information to help district parents plan their students' summer. We have not evaluated this information or endorsed any of the camps, and the district is not responsible for any aspect of these camps.

Next Year - Get Ready for 2012-13
Some important 2012 “Back to School” dates:
August 20, 10 am to noon: Join fellow incoming kindergartners, existing Laurel families, Principal Linda Creighton, and the Laurel PTO for a morning of Q&A&Play. Your children can explore their new kindergarten playground while you get to meet fellow parents. The Kindergarten Welcome Committee will be there to answer any
questions, followed by a tour of Laurel School and an ice cream treat.
August 29: Classroom lists are posted at 4:00 pm at the front office.
August 31: Meet and Greet with teachers beginning at 8:30-9:00am. Your new teacher will send more detailed information in advance.
September 4: “Back to School Coffee” from 8:30-11:00 am in the plaza. Sign up for classroom and campus volunteer positions. Bring your checkbook to buy Laurel Spirit Wear!
September 4: First day of School
September 4: Hot lunch and Carpool begins
September 6: PTO Executive Board meeting, 8:40am
September 13: Back to School Night where you can learn lots about your child’s school year and classroom curriculum. Book that babysitter now!
