School Procedures

If your child becomes sick at school, the school office will attempt to reach the parent or other designated contact person for pickup using contact information you have provided to the school. If you pick up your child early, you MUST sign your child out on the clipboard in the front office.

If a child has to leave school during the day for any reason, please come to the Laurel School office to have your child sent to the front office.  You (or an authorized adult) MUST sign the child out from the office.

Unless the temperature drops significantly, the school will remain open and students would be released at the regular dismissal time.

Cell phones, Apple watches, and other smart watches must be turned off and in backpacks while students are on campus. 

• If students need to call home, they may use our office phones.

• If students ride bikes or walk home, they may use their devices once they leave campus or in the office at the cell phone zone.

• We encourage students and parents to discuss their plans for dismissal and pick up in advance. As an option, parents can write down afternoon pick up plans for their child each morning. This will help promote independence and security.
